TippinOut is an app for recording work, tips, commission, schedules, paychecks, and other income.
Information you put in TippinOut
You may record workplaces and roles, clients, work hours, sales, tips, tipouts, commission, other income, paycheck amounts, schedules, notes, and optional cashout photos. Your appearance, calendar, notification, and backup settings are also saved. You decide what to enter and whether to attach a photo.
How the app uses and stores this information
TippinOut stores these records and settings on your device to show your history, calculate summaries, create reports, schedule optional local reminders, and make backups. The current app does not require an account or send your records to a TippinOut server simply because you enter them. App-private cashout photos are stored as local files with references in the app database.
The app keeps rolling local safety snapshots within its own storage. These snapshots can be lost if the app is removed or the device is lost.
Backups, exports, and other services
When you choose to make a portable backup or export a report, TippinOut hands the file to your device's save or share options. You choose where it goes. On Android, you can opt into automatic portable backups to an external folder you select. Backups may include saved records, settings, and attached cashout photos. PDF and CSV exports include the information shown in their preview.
A file saved to a cloud drive, email app, or another destination is handled by that service under its own practices. Saving a backup outside TippinOut is the way to keep a restorable copy if the app or device is lost.
Device access and reminders
TippinOut asks for notification permission only if you enable shift reminders. These reminders are scheduled locally and can be adjusted or turned off in Settings. If you attach a cashout photo or restore a backup, the system file picker lets you select a file; TippinOut uses the file you selected for that feature.
Your choices and deletion
You can edit or delete saved entries in Calendar and manage or remove workplaces and roles in Jobs. Restoring a portable backup replaces the app's current local records after confirmation. Removing the app may remove its local data and local snapshots. Copies you saved to other locations remain there until you remove them from those locations.
